Our Growing Team of IB Educators!
Every tutor with us is more than just a qualified teacher; they’re experts in IB mathematics with at least 10 years of teaching experience. Having taught at IB Schools around the globe, our team will help build confidence and empower your child to learn MYP mathematics with success.
I most recently taught and tutored MYP Mathematics at the International School of Amsterdam for several years. In 2014, I moved from the United States to the Netherlands, where I now reside with my husband and two young children.
I strongly believe that with time and self-confidence, anyone can successfully learn mathematics. As a teacher, I am passionate about supporting my students, and my strongest skill is my ability to quickly build rapport with children and teenagers. In my opinion, one-on-one time with a teacher is crucial and key to student improvement and success.
Teaching mathematics has always been my favorite role in the field of education. I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies, as well as teaching credentials in High School mathematics and elementary education.
Additionally, I earned a Master’s Degree in Education, am a candidate for the Postgraduate Certificate in International Education at Bath University, and enjoy implementing newly learned teaching strategies. I have completed all professional development courses offered by the International Baccalaureate® (IB) for Middle Years Programme (MYP) mathematics. Furthermore, I am an IB Examiner for MYP Mathematics, and I have experience teaching English as an Additional Language and Learning Support. I am also a MARIO Framework Certified Educator, a Google Certified Trainer, and a former facilitator at the Quantum Learning Network’s SuperCamp.

I am a passionate and enthusiastic educator, with 10 years of teaching experience in international schools. During my time working as a Head of Department and teacher at Nord Anglia International School Dublin, an IB World School, and have helped to get the MYP and DP Mathematics programmes up and running. Prior to this, I taught at the International School of Hamburg in Germany, and Sunway International School in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Within my classroom, I am inspired by Jo Boaler’s “Mathematical Mindsets”, a practice that aims to create rich and engaging learning opportunities for students with varying experiences and attitudes towards mathematics. For me, mathematics is about developing a toolbox of problem-solving skills, and then identifying what to do when approaching challenging or unfamiliar problems. In order to develop this toolbox, I aim to create a safe and fun learning environment where we make mindful mistakes and develop critical thinking, confidence and independence.
My educational background includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and Mathematics, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary School Education. I have participated in several IB training courses including MYP and DP Mathematics. I fully believe in the MYP Mathematics framework, and am thrilled to be able to support students on a 1-to-1 basis as they learn and adjust to this new way of thinking.
As a past varsity athlete, I have a passion for sport and have coached volleyball and track and field throughout my teaching career. I believe that balance in life is so important, and have made sure to make space for travel, hiking, making music, art and baking!

I am a compassionate and dedicated maths teacher who believes that the purpose of education is to help empower learners by equipping them with transferable and critical thinking skills to make connections to real-world contexts. Teaching requires constant reflection of the craft in order to develop strategies to enable learners to grow in confidence to build fundamental skills that underpins the essence of being a mathematical thinker. I believe that in this way, and with time, effort and persistence, anyone can learn maths! I seek to create a positive and supportive learning space that allows learners to feel comfortable taking risks and making mistakes as these are important in the learning process. Through the use of real world scenarios, students begin to make connections, build confidence and learn to enjoy maths.
My primary goal is to instill a love for learning mathematics to help my students fulfill their potential as both academics and global citizens who can contribute to building a better future.
I am a seasoned high school math teacher with over 10 years of experience in the field. Growing up, Mathematics has always been my strong suit, feeling more like a game than schoolwork—a challenge I was always eager to tackle.
I felt at home in a school environment, so naturally, I pursued a Bachelor of Education (Honors) in Mathematics. Raised with a sibling who needed special attention due to dyslexia, a condition little understood then, I was drawn early into special needs education. This led me to further my training in Special and Inclusive Education and Educational Psychology.
After my education training, I embarked on a fulfilling career in international education, teaching Mathematics and Psychology in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
For over a decade, my focus has been on providing students with the skills needed for success in the 21st Century, driven by my admiration for the international education system and a passion for curriculum design that prepares students for future challenges. I implement classroom practices that develop inquiring, knowledgeable, and responsible learners with a global perspective and an open mind.

Wouldn’t it be great if we could extract content out of Maths textbooks and actually apply it to our lives?
I am fascinated by how Maths connects everything from nature to technology to art to sports and am inspired by the opportunity to support a person to bridge the connection that mathematics is more about methods of problems solving than answering textbook questions.
I am a Canadian who brings 14+ years of teaching maths at international schools in 6 countries - plus prior business and professional coaching experience. IB MYP and DP are my preferred, I also do have experience teaching IGCSE, AP and New Zealand curricula.
My main strength as a teacher is my ability to develop strong relationships with my students.
I teach mathematics the way I would love to have been taught mathematics when I was in school. I encourage student leadership and debate in stark contrast to the silent classroom where I spent hours copying down page after page. I thrive on students’ enjoyment of mathematics and trust that if a student enjoys a subject then they will learn.
I have comprehensive experience in different educational environments with global students. While my expertise is in Mathematics I see myself as a 21st century educator. By engaging with students both inside and outside of the classroom I focus on developing crucial attributes such as collaboration, flexibility, leadership and social skills.
I am a passionate and professional teacher with eleven years of experience in education. Currently, I am teaching at Positivo International School in Brazil, where I instruct both MYP and DP classes.
My journey in education began long before I became a Mathematics teacher. For four years, I taught English for Portuguese speakers with the goal of eventually teaching Math in English, a dream I achieved when I joined the International Baccalaureate program. My journey began with the eighth and ninth grades and currently, I am teaching the tenth grade, as well as the eleventh and twelfth grades, where I have been involved actively with the Middle Years and Diploma Programs.
Beyond the classroom, I find deep fulfillment in helping students cultivate crucial skills such as inquiry, reflection, and risk-taking. These experiences have reinforced my belief that education is not just about imparting knowledge but about shaping well-rounded individuals who are prepared to navigate the complexities of the world. It is this commitment to fostering intellectual growth and personal development that drives my dedication to teaching every day.
My greatest purpose as a teacher is to help students understand and enjoy mathematics as much as I do. I hold a Master’s degree in Mathematics Education and have over 14 years of teaching experience, including 8 years in IB World Schools, primarily within the MYP and DP programs. I am comfortable teaching any high school Mathematics course in both English and Spanish.
Throughout my career, I’ve discovered that many students struggle more with self-confidence in mathematics than with the actual mathematical concepts themselves. For this reason, my teaching approach focuses on building confidence and promoting deep understanding through real-life applications of mathematics.
I integrate technology and digital tools effectively in my lessons to make learning interactive, engaging, and relevant to today’s world. My goal is not only for students to master mathematical skills but also to see mathematics as a meaningful and empowering language that helps them make sense of the world.
